Our Journey So Far

Are you wondering what this blog's about? Can't imagine what in the world Aussy Aussy is?
Then its time you met the cast and crew of this whole shebang, and learnt our story so far!
Aussy Aussy is a 7-man (and woman!) student company that began when 7 plucky uni students individually decided that uni wasn't tough enough, and consequently felt an urgent burning need to flock together under YAA.
We spent several weeks getting to know each other and putting together the bits and pieces that were needed to come up with our product of choice. It was tough going at first, and we had to overcome lots of new and exciting challenges, such as setting up a bank account (Oooh, money!), making and distributing surveys (What do you mean, no comment???Grrr!), product design (hmmm... I want glitter, and hearts, and my monogram on it ♥!!! ), sourcing material (But they say they only ship to Timbuktu... =.="), and finally, making the product! (Oh, the scars, the scars! I'll never cut and sew again! *kidding*)
Buuut, we finally got it done, without major mishaps :)

Our first experience at selling our brainchild occurred at Brisbane's own Valley Markets. We opened a teeny tiny stall and awed passersby with our unique and never-before-seen-at-a-market merchandise.

We'd learnt a lot from that experience and so were more prepared (and gung ho!) to sell at the YAA Expo held at Uni of South Queensland at Spring field Education City.

We had great fun setting up a bigger and better stall. We even had a flashy red tablecloth to force people to notice us, teehee!

Of course we didn't do all this by ourselves. We had help from our mentors, 2 savvy ex-YAA participants (see above), as well as another mentor from Financial Wisdom.

Since our cup did runneth over with enthusiasm, we decided to show a little goodwill (and marketing strategy :D ) by giving away a free laptop bag in a raffle during the Expo.

But our journey's not complete yet. We still have a little bit of stock left from the Expo...

Our newest and brightest colour has arrived!!! I give you, Aussy Aussy's own, Royal Blue laptop sleeve! This new baby is selling like HOTCAKES!!! Snap one up quick, cos... we're actually running out of stock! *horror*

All work and no play makes Aussy Aussy really depressed. When we're depressed, we start figuring out weird and funny uses for our laptop bags. I believe we've come up with... the Aussy Aussy frisbee bag... the Aussy Aussy icepack... the Aussy Aussy fishing bucket... the Aussy Aussy balaclava... *cringes*
Anyways, our creativity and obsession were reaching unknown heights, so we decided instead to distract ourselves by hurling 10-14kg balls at speeds of up to 1000mph to let out stress! :D

You know... after the strain of building Aussy Aussy from scratch,
we actually developed super strength! Watch out super heroes, Aussy Aussy's new in town~! :D
Oh ok... I can't explain this one. I guess we all just have great camaraderie between us :P
Hmm...fishy expressions... thinking of taking over Wall Street? I'm game!!! XP
But you know what... Aussy Aussy's actually not just concerned about profit.
Really, ebil MD's and sales tables aside... all we want is to make our customers happy :) *cute puppy dog eyes*

Aussy Aussy's die hard attitude means that we're ready to serve our customers anywhere, anytime! From now till next week, Aussy Aussy has decided to showcase our laptop bags riiiight under your nose. We''ll be selling our lovely bags outside the First Year Hawken Learning Center, at the Hawken Engineering Building (50). We've only got a handful left really, so come on over ASAP and claim your bag!
